What's new?

  • (03 July 2006) Again the fact sheet of GreenGran305070 has been updated by publication of HDT properties at 1.35 MPa.

  • (28 February 2006) The fact sheet of GreenGran50 has been updated with two more grades: NF30 (30% fibres) and NF70 (70% fibres). amongst others these grades are produced industrially as of Q3 2006.

  • (20 December 2005) A fact sheet of granules of natural fibre reinforced PP composites, which are industrially produced as of 2006 by using our technology is available for downloading. It can be found in the publications section

More data sheets, on for instance masterbatch- and budget grades, will be published in the forthcoming months

  • (05 July 2005) A press release from Nova-Institut, highlighting the most recent international developments on natural fiber composites as presented at the N-FibreBase-Kongress (Hürth, 9-10 June 2005) is available for downloading, which can be found in the publications section

  • (13 June 2005) One new presentation (Hürth, 9-10 June 2005) is available for downloading, which can be found in the publications section

This presentation was given at at the 3rd N-FibreBase-Kongress; it provides detailed information on the compound's rheology and the influence of machine residence time, UV-radiation and intensive water immersion on the composite's mechanical properties.

  • (update 13 June 2005) A face have been given to the names of our team members! You can see them in the project team section. One click on (most of) the thumbnails provides you with the person's curriculum vitae

  • (28 Feb. 2005) Techno-economic evaluation of the greenfield industrial production process can be found in the publications section

This TEA was presented at Kassel 2004; the analysis shows that industrial production of PP/natural fibres granules - including IP license and 15% ROI - is 25% cheaper than producing PP/glass fibres with comparable properties

  • (13 Dec. 2004) Harriëtte Bos' PhD thesis and two new presentations (2004) are available for downloading, which can be found in the publications section

  • (08 Nov. 2004) Two presentations (2004) are available for downloading, which can be found in the publications section

  • (07 Oct. 2004) Our compounding technology has also been published under Yet2.com and was selected as Tech of the Week! A summary can be found in the publications section

Yet2.com is the largest internet technology broker; it bridges parties seeking for (patented) technologies and those offering it.

The International Jute Study Group (IJSG) is an intergovernmental body set up under the aegis of UNCTAD to function as the International Commodity Body (ICB) for Jute, Kenaf and other Allied Fibres.

  • (06 Sept. 2004) A new page added to this website, called  'Links'

here you can find links to other research institutes/universities working on natural fibre composites and also to funding bodies and sites dealing with market information on natural fiber composites and natural fibres.

This site is updated regularly with new information on research activities and facilities.
