Our novel process makes it possible to produce thermoplastic granules reinforced with natural fibers that are 6 times stiffer and 2,5 times stronger than virgin PP. Compared to glass fibre reinforced plastic, the resulting composite is comparable stiff and strong, but much cheaper. The composite has fogging and humidity characteristics and odour emission levels within present norms.

The process can be carried out on standard extrusion equipment with commonly used screws. Moreover, the granules can be injection moulded under standard conditions.
